Dec 6th 2010: Back on the bandwagon

So after a few days of ups and downs that saw the Toronto Maple Leafs lose to the then last place Edmonton Oilers in hilarious fashion 5-0 but then pull of a pretty nice win over the Boston Bruins 3-2 in a shootout, which was awesome because Phil Kessel won the shootout against his former team, the Leafs head to Washington to face the Capitals in what many Leaf fans thought would be a blowout for the Capitals.  However after the game Leafs Nation was jumping back on the bandwagon and left Ovechkin and the Capitals dumbfounded.

The game started out normal enough, Washingon scores to make it 1-0.  But next Clare MacArthur breaks his goal-less streak and ties it at 1-1.  Everyone is playing well including Gustavsson who is having a great season so far.  Cue the blowout in 3, 2, 1.........scores 2-1 Washington, scores 3-1 Washington.  Ovechkin across the line shoots, scores 4-1 Washington.  So the Capitals are up 4-1 in the third period and looks lke it will be another loss for Toronto.  Wait Grabovski scores and it's 4-2, oh well it's still to late, Kadri to Kaberle, Kaberle shoots and it's tipped by Tim Brent and it's 4-3.  4-3 with two minutes left and Clarke MacArthur ties it up it's 4-4.  So it's in a shootout and Grabovski pulls a spin-o-rama and the Leafs win 5-4.

So yeah It's all good in Leafs Nation right now.
